Elf Cosmetics Review | New Products

elf cosmetics review

What beats starting the new year with some new makeup?  I had to try the new elf products that were just released. I am a huge fan of elf cosmetics due to their philosophy, quality, and price. Let’s end the year with an Elf Cosmetics review on their new releases.

Makeup does not have to break the bank. I’m a firm believer of that. When I saw the new putty blushes and cc cream from elf cosmetics, I knew I had to give it a try.

My day to day makeup routine tends to be extremely simple outside of blush, bronzer, and a bold lip.

If you haven’t been under a rock, you have probably heard about the Elf Cosmetics Poreless Putty Primer. It is, by far, one of my favorite primers of all time. That is a bold statement, but it’s the truth.  Youtube and Instagram influencers have rave reviews about Elf Cosmetics primer.

In this haul, I purchased the following products from Elf’s website on sale for under $50 total:

Camo Color Creation Foundation

Putty Blush Brush

Putty Blush

Can you believe I was able to get everything for that price? Some brands' foundations would go for $50 alone!  You may be wondering where to buy elf cosmetics.  You can purchase on their website or several retailers.

Putty Blush

According to Elf’s Cosmetics website, it says the following about the puddy blush:

“Say hello to that island glow! This lightweight but buildable, putty to powder blush blends seamlessly into the skin. It is infused with argan oil and vitamin E for some added nourishment.  This silky smooth, buildable formula will give you a flushed-from-within glow.”

As you can see, I stood up to the claims. I was able to get a nice color without a lot of hassle. It's a great product in the container. The blush will likely expire before I use it all up.

I share that for the makeup fans that do everyday full face. You won’t feel disappointed.

The color ranges are stunning. I think there’s a shade for almost every skin tone. I thought the Bali, Bahamas, and Turks and Caicos would compliment my skin tone with or without bronze.

Color Correcting Full Coverage Natural Finish Cream

I’m big on foundations that look natural. When CC and BB creams first came out, I fell in love with the finish. I tend to do color correction creams in the summer months. I thought it would not hurt to try it now.

At first, I was concerned about ordering a foundation online. I love that the Elf Cosmetics website has a foundation matching feature. I used the NYX foundation for the color match.  People are stating this foundation is a dupe for IT Cosmetics CC foundation.

Elf’s website states:

  • Medium-to-full coverage foundation with a natural finish

  • Formulated with SPF 30 to protect against sun damage

  • Multi-tasking foundation that provides skincare benefits

  • Infused with hydrating and youth-boosting ingredients known to improve skin texture and tone

  • Our Shade Match Guarantee allows you to buy with confidence

Ditch your basic foundation! This skin color-correcting cream is the only product you need to achieve a natural-looking complexion but full coverage. A multitasking dream cream infused with peptides and niacinamide known to plump, hydrate, and smooth the appearance of your skin while protecting with SPF 30.

The feature was able to pair me with the fair 150 C color. I thought that it turned out like a great match. Right now, there is a decent range in colors. I hope that they can add some more colors in the future.

As far as I’m concerned, this whole haul was a success! Elf’s products are usually a win in my book. The price and the product can’t be beat. I think these new additions are perfect for the late 30s and 40s crowd like myself.

What are your thoughts about the finish look?  Have you tried elf products in the past? I would love to hear back from you. I’m excited to go into the new year with a new makeup look.
