The Clubhouse App For Your Business
Unless you have been hiding underneath a rock, you have probably heard about the Clubhouse app. I know many people are not on the platform yet due to it being in Beta testing. Up until December, I was a hardcore no to joining another app. I thought it was just another social media platform to drain my time and energy.
To my surprise, it is nothing like I thought it would be! Shocking! I was wrong. LOL. I was just playing.
Everyone is talking about Clubhouse, yet I could not truly understand how it would benefit me or my business.
How is the Clubhouse app different from other platforms?
The most significant difference in Beta testing is the access. You must have an invite to the Clubhouse app to access the platform. Once you are invited or approve, you are now into the app. You can chat in real-time, share stories, collaborate, and bounce ideas off each other using your voice. At this time, the Clubhouse app is only for iPhone users. They are discussing the expansion to Andriod within the next few months.
The exclusivity and access to high-level entrepreneurs and business elites are fueling the conversation around the platform. The other day, Elon Musk joined and created a room. How would one even begin to access him outside of the platform?
Now that we have discussed the difference between Clubhouse and other platforms let’s discuss how you can use it in your business. It was honestly the tricky part in the beginning. I didn’t want to get sucked into rooms collecting information with no purpose.
I’m sharing with you three ways to utilize the platform to grow your business and brand. It is easy to get sucked down a rabbit hole on any social media platform without a strategy.
Networking
The most obvious way to use the platform is networking. You can strategically locate clubs, professions, and chat topics specific to your industry. The search function is keyword sensitive. It is essential to optimize your bio for keywords for people to find you and vice versa.
I have met some fantastic people through the platform. People that I would’ve likely never crossed paths within a million years. Our relationships were solidified through attending various rooms and chatting off the platform.
Sales Funnel
Whenever using a social media platform, you want to ensure your sales funnel matches. The beautiful part about the Clubhouse app is your Instagram or Twitter page linked to your profile. I have had exponential growth on my Instagram account since joining the app. You don’t want to have that growth an Instagram account that doesn’t have proper links or messages.
If you are not sure about your Instagram account, schedule a consultation with me to discuss. I would recommend checking your followers on both apps for potential leads. You can host rooms and request people to message you for notes. You want to keep track of those that directly messaged you.
Whatever you decide, you want your sales funnel to make sense to cultivate relationships with potential customers or make immediate sales. I’ve heard people have phenomenal results using the platform. People are landing five and six-figure contracts due to an effective sales funnel.
Content Ideas
Do you ever find yourself stuck on your potential customer’s pain points? Or on ideas to discuss on your blogs, newsletters, or other content? You can find answers or topic points in the various discussion rooms. I have seen unique ways to use the discussions in the rooms for future content.
For example, my blog and Youtube videos on Instagram Guides came from conversations on the platform. Those conversations happened on and off the platform. The way to use the platform is by searching for specific rooms or creating your own. I would recommend taking notes on the talk points, who asked specific questions, and people who came into the room. Use the time in the room to research who is coming to talk more on that topic.
You can even locate people on the app and connect with them to pick their brains. Let’s say you want to research content creation. You can find clubs or people that have the keywords. I would recommend following the person or club to act like a fly on the wall. Please do not go in the room blindly unless it’s a fun room. You will be surprised by what information and key nuggets are discovered in these rooms.
