In the past, I used to have clothing in storage for every season. It wasn’t due to limited space. It was due to having a lot of clothing. Since changing to the minimalist style, I have learned how to make the most of my wardrobe. It’s time to learn some tricks for summer to fall clothing transformations.

As mentioned, I did not have a clothing shortage growing up. I loved having options and plenty of them. Most of the time, I would barely know what I had. It resulted in duplicate purchases or a lack of creativity within my dressing.
You may relate to that stage in my life. I had to retrain my relationship with clothing and shopping. It wasn’t a healthy relationship. To prevent the old habits from returning, I had created a “life” principle. I can make purchases for things that have multiple uses and purposes.
How does that apply to clothing? I like to buy clothing pieces that easily transition from warmer to colder months. It may require layering or creative styling. The days of buying something for one purpose are way behind me.
I had created the above video to take you through some styling tips. After speaking to a good friend, I had realized this would be an excellent clothing hack for businesswomen in their mid 30’s to 50’s. I found myself having clothing that I placed in different categories for each life area.

For example, you can look at your summer dresses that you can layer with a sweater, button-up shirt, turtleneck, or cardigan. Or look at your flowy skirts to pair with vintage teeshirts and a motorcycle jacket.
The options are endless when you can see what your own and know how to style it. Learning how to maximize your clothing makes a significant impact on the environment. That’s correct! It is the result of our society's love for fast-fashion culture. Our clothing waste increase has impacted on our landfills. Clothing sustainability is one of my motivators. It’s a small way to do my part.
