How To Create and Successfully Launch Your Ebook or Cookbook
Have you wanted to create an ebook idea? Or have you thought it’s time to publish a cookbook? Physical and electronic books are super hot right now. It’s common for people to wonder how to self-publish an ebook, mainly focusing on creating multiple income streams. That may be you right now!
If that is the case, I have you covered! November 2nd is National Author Day. I’m super passionate about supporting my community and finding experts on different topics. On my hunt to find a course on how to publish an ebook, I was able to cross paths with Michael Beckford, Let’s Get Publish founder.
After our initial conversation, I knew he was the right person to interview for this topic. His course Let’s Get Published teaches you:
How to self publish an ebook
How to publish your ebook on kindle
How to publish your ebook or cookbook on Amazon
Tools to publish your ebook or cookbook
And much more
Michael and I did a great Instagram live on understanding your target audience before writing your book. The recording is available in my Patreon community. You can access it by clicking HERE. Clarity on your target audience is essential before creating your book. According to UNESCO, which compiles the total number of books published in every country, there were 2.2 million books issued in the most recent year available.
That is correct, 2.2 million books a year!!!!
Does it mean that the book or ebook markets are overly saturated? No! I’m an avid reader. I don’t EVER think to myself, “I hope people stop writing new books.” LOL. People are always wanting to read and learn new things.
Your book is needed in the marketplace. We just need to know what makes you different from your competitors.
My YouTube video called “How to Sell an eBook Online” provides some insight on how to use social media to sell your book. It’s time to publish your ebook or cookbook. Michael mentioned that cookbooks do best in printed format by nature. You can test out the concept as an ebook before making it into a hard copy.
To have a successful launch, there are several necessary steps needed to prepare your brand. Simple things like advertising, having a marketing strategy, and an optimized website all play a factor. These steps are not always discussed. I would highly recommend speaking to a publishing coach, attending a workshop, or purchasing a course. Once you learn the correct principles, you can rinse and repeat for your different books.
Hopefully, this blog post has helped you understand the importance of understanding your target market and researching your topic before writing an ebook. I’ve also discussed how it can be helpful to work with a coach who will help you make sure your book is well-written and edited. The last thing we want for our readers is to buy something that isn't ready! If you haven't watched my youtube video on How To Sell Your Cookbook Online yet, please do so now by clicking HERE.
